Chinese Herbal Medicine (quarterly) was founded in 2009 and is the first professional journal in the field of Chinese herbal medicine to be published in English. The purpose and business scope of the publication are to inherit and carry forward the heritage of traditional Chinese medicine, report and reflect on the latest progress in traditional Chinese medicine research, promote the traditional characteristics of Chinese medicine in China, strengthen the exchange of experience in traditional medicine research with countries around the world, build a bridge of understanding and communication between traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine, tradition and modernity, and East and West, and promote the modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine.

The purpose of this publication is to provide a forum for the study of Chinese herbal medicine, traditional medicines, and natural products. This journal includes research on the active ingredients and complex formulations of herbs in medicinal resources, phytochemistry, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacokinetics, and therapeutic functions through experiments and clinical trials. Introducing the latest developments in pharmaceutical science to readers is of interest to this journal.
