Sahara J-journal of Social Aspects of HIV/AIDS is an academic journal dedicated to the social dimensions of HIV/AIDS in sub Saharan Africa. It is committed to providing theoretical and practical support for preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and mitigating its impact on society through social science research. The journal recognizes that effective HIV/AIDS response strategies require a deep understanding of socio-cultural factors that affect the transmission pathways of the virus, people's prevention and control behaviors, and social support for affected groups.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary research methods, including but not limited to sociology, psychology, anthropology, economics, public health, and policy research, to comprehensively analyze the social determinants and consequences of HIV/AIDS. These studies may involve aspects such as community participation, gender dynamics, socio-economic status, education level, religious beliefs, cultural customs, as well as policy and legal environment.
