Reference & User Services Quarterly is a professional journal focused on library services and information science, with the core mission of providing valuable information and resources to librarians, information specialists, and other professionals engaged in user-facing library services. The journal is dedicated to promoting innovation and improvement in library services and improving librarians' professional skills in information retrieval, user service and resource management.

The journal covers all aspects of library services, including but not limited to reference consulting, information literacy education, resource discovery, digital resource management, user service strategy, etc. By publishing research papers, case studies, review articles and professional guides, journals provide librarians with a platform for learning and networking to help them better understand and respond to current challenges and opportunities facing library services.
